Design Philosophy

Design Philosophy

The Verandah House explores the delicate tension between monolithic weight and ethereal light. Inspired by the brutalist temples of the 1970s, we sought to create a residential space that feels ancient yet aggressively modern.

Every surface was treated as a canvas for shadow. The raw travertine walls were hand-selected to ensure a consistent vein direction, guiding the eye horizontally across the expansive open plan.

"

We didn't just want to design a room. We wanted to design a silence.
